Since its construction in the 1990s, the Marrakech karting circuit has aroused the enthusiasm of all levels of competitors. Making the most of the available terrain, the Frenchman Jean-Pascal Garçon designed a very technical layout based on his knowledge of the greatest international circuits. The two opposing straights as well as fast curves such as the palm tree turn alternate with more sinuous portions, bringing several changes of pace such as the chicane. The track’s history has proven that it is undeniably a driver’s circuit that rewards the best. The International Grand Prix of Morocco, organised on this circuit three times for high level drivers such as the multiple World Champion Davide Fore’, shows without ambiguity the potential of the track. Now placed under the management of a young competitor, Suleiman Zanfari, Marrakech adds to its selectivity a quality of welcome and a level of safety worthy of the best. The S1 Speedway of Marrakech is part of a vast racing project in Morocco and is about to host several important races in the Cherifian kingdom.
